The magazine “behind the wheel” shared the results of the repair of the sedan from the corporate park. The car was bought new in December 2015, was served by regulations and drove 165,800 kilometers in almost ten years. However, from 60 thousand kilometers, the “atmospheric” 1.6 began to consume oil: the consumption was from one to two liters for 15 thousand kilometers.

The operation of the Lada Vesta was held in a gentle mode, the car did not participate in resource tests, and the mileage mainly track. “Maslojor” did not progress for a long time, but after a trip with a small trailer for 200 kilometers, Lada Vesta demanded a validity of a whole liter of oil, and colleagues decided to open the engine for defecting.

Pistons, valves and ramparts were in good condition, but I had to change piston rings, oil -linen caps, connecting rod liners, gaskets, seals and an engines of the engine crankcase. At the same time, the sedan was updated by belts, videos and pumps, although the regulation allows you to drive by cars of those years up to 180 thousand kilometers without replacing belts. Although all the work was carried out on their own, they bought spare parts alone for almost 40 thousand rubles.

It is worth noting that the service life of the new Vesta declared by AvtoVAZ is eight years or 120 thousand kilometers. Most often, the owners of Vesta and Xray complained about the “oil-coal” of the 1.8-liter engine: finally, the problems were solved only a year and a half ago with the release of the EVO series unit.
