The new generation Chery Arrizo 8 sedan will appear in Russia

According to information from Chinese Cars, the company is conducting local marketing research in Russia regarding the launch of a new generation of sedan equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine on the Russian market. Presumably, it will appear on the market in the summer under a local brand.

“Obviously, the purpose of this study is the upcoming premiere of the new version of Arrizo 8 with a more powerful 2-liter internal combustion engine. However, given that the Chery company is now actively “migrating” in Russia under the localized Tenet brand, it is unlikely that the new product will go on sale under its original name,” the publication notes.

Owners of the current generation Chery Arrizo 8 sedans are asked to answer 12 questions. One of them concerns the “reasonable price” for a new generation car. The lower limit of such a price in the questionnaire is 2.5 million rubles, the upper limit is 3.1 million rubles and above. Another question concerns the “reasonable surcharge” for the more powerful 2.0 turbocharged engine compared to the 1.6 turbo engine. The maximum amount of additional payment specified in the application form is more than 230 thousand rubles.

In China, the new generation of the sedan is presented under the Chery Arrizo 8 Pro brand; it has been sold since 2025. The car is equipped with 1.6 and 2.0 turbo engines in two boost variants.
