The Austrian tuner equipped the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S V8 engine. The modernized “eight” M 177 develops about 700 horsepower and gives such a chic sound that a hybrid sedan with a four -cylinder engine will never have.
The Austrian company VUK did its work as Mercedes-AMG and still shoved the V8 engine (W206) under the hood of the new C-Class (W206). This was done not only for the sake of a chic sound, but also to the restoration of historical justice. As we recall, in the last generation C 63 S, he had a “biturbodosmark” 4.0 with a capacity of 510 horsepower and 700 nm of torque. The current Super Sedan has the same index, but the V8 is not at all in sight, but only a hybrid system based on the “turbocharging” m 139 with a volume of two liters.
VUK Cult Japanese Motors
With such a filling C 63 S 4Matic+ E Performance, it was not very uninteresting to customers, and Mercedes had to sell cars with large discounts. Whether the “Swap” will solve the problem is still unclear. VUK does not give any comments about the future project. And although a lot of time and effort was invested in it, how commercially viable, no one can say now.
The car was built for two years, and this is not just a replacement of one engine with another, but a rather deep modernization. Unfortunately, the information is not enough, however, it is known that the “Tseshka” retained all-wheel drive, and the return of the “eight” M 177 is 612 horsepower with the possibility of increasing to 700. The unit replaced the crankcase, the insides of turbochargers, installed an enlarged intercooler and cut out the OFP filter. Under the order, VUK is ready to do the same with GLC 63.
