The newest Russian-assembled Haval crossover has quietly appeared at the dealer

In the profile group, they posted photographs of the “Seven” taken near a car dealership on Varshavskoye Shosse (Moscow). The car has the Russian designation Haval H7 (in China the same model is called Big Dog) and sub-number frames for our registration plate format. The Vehicle Type Approval Certificate has already been issued, so nothing stands in the way of the official start of sales.

In Russia, taxi drivers compared the service life of Chinese and Korean cars

The permitting documents include two versions of the Haval H7: traditional petrol (with a 2.0 turbo engine, 9-speed robot and mechanical all-wheel drive) and hybrid (with a 1.5 turbo engine, petrol-electric system and electric all-wheel drive). In the first case, the power will be 199 horsepower, in the second case – 299 horsepower. In the photo, the “seven” is without electric motors, because there is no charging hatch.

It seems that the Russian Haval H7 will not be fundamentally different from the Chinese source, either externally or technically. From the certification documents it follows that the model will be localized at the Russian Great Wall Motor plant near Tula. Co-platform crossovers of the Lemon architecture are already being produced there: Jolion, Dargo, H3 and the new F7.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is ready to make concessions to Chinese brands: AvtoVAZ against

The public premiere of the Haval H7 for Russia is expected in early 2025. A year ago, in the product plan of the Chinese brand, the expected prices ranged from 3.2 to 4.5 million rubles, but there is no doubt: in the end the crossover will be more expensive. The model will be sold through Haval Pro off-road dealers.
