The statistics of sales of the Russian brand Xcite, whose cars are produced in St. Petersburg at the former Nissan plant, is divided by Avtostat. According to the agency, for the first quarter of 2025 (January-March), Russians bought 1302 new Xcite crossovers, and the brand share in the total sales does not exceed 0.5 percent. For comparison: the sales of Muscovites for the same period amounted to 1.2 thousand pieces.
From statistics it follows that more than 85 percent of all Ixights implemented in the first three months are X-Cross 7 crossovers. The volume of the model for the reporting period amounted to 1113 copies. Another 15 percent occurs on the X-Cross 8, which dispersed in the amount of 189 units. Both models continue to leave the assembly line of an enterprise operating under the Sample Automobile Plant St. Petersburg. The production plan for 2025 provides for the production of 6.5 thousand cars.
AvtoVAZ first proposed with a discount “for its” not only Lada there were details about the fate of the Xcite brand: there were little AvtoVAZ machines.
Both mentioned models are analogues of the existing “Eastern partner” cars, the name of which is not called in Xcite. Earlier, on the former Nissan site, they were going to produce FAW crossovers under the Lada brand, but this cooperation turned out to be dead end: only one batch of 170 cars was released, after which the partnership turned off. Rumors also go about the new partner, allegedly he loses interest in production at the St. Petersburg Automobile Plant.
Earlier, the Russian car telegram channel reported that instead of the “Chinese” at the factory they were ready to produce “imported” Renault cars under the Xcite brand.
