Autonomous driving systems were tested on public roads. The car equipped with the Drive Assist complex drove along the M-12 highway about 730 kilometers, of which almost 700 was autonomous. The aggregate was the Toyota Prius, equipped with sensors and computing equipment, which will be used in serial atoms.
The ADAS complex (Advanced Driver-SSSISTANCE SYSTEMS) in the atom will consist of 17 electronic assistants, including adaptive cruise control with the function of retention, automatic parking systems and remote control functions.
As part of the testing on the M-12 highway, engineers tested the management at high speed, which is impossible in urban conditions, and at the same time the “endurance” of the system during long trips, since such tests were not previously carried out on such a scale.

The test driver was driving a test prototype in case you need to intervene in the control process. At the same time, almost the entire route, the car drove in autonomous mode. The path from Moscow to Kazan along the M-12 took 11 hours at an average speed of 90 kilometers per hour.
The production of atoms should begin at the Moskvich plant within 2025. It is already known that an electric car will drive an electric motor with a capacity of 204 horsepower, which nourishes a battery with a capacity of 77 kilowatt hours. On one of its charges, the atom is able to drive up to 500 kilometers.
