The company included in the GS Group holding has released a trial batch of microelectronic components for the needs of the domestic auto industry. Similar chips are used in electronic units and modules necessary for the climate control, as well as control and braking systems.
To date, the share of domestic electronics in cars produced by Russian manufacturers is from 15 to 25 percent. GS NanoTech said that it will be able to close the needs of the Volga Automobile Plant by 80 percent, or 175 million microcircuits annually. Each car requires approximately 350 thousand components. In addition, the company plans to produce electronic parts for a vase, gas and KAMAZ.
