The Russian company GS NanoTech will cover the need for AvtoVAZ for 80%

The company included in the GS Group holding has released a trial batch of microelectronic components for the needs of the domestic auto industry. Similar chips are used in electronic units and modules necessary for the climate control, as well as control and braking systems.

To date, the share of domestic electronics in cars produced by Russian manufacturers is from 15 to 25 percent. GS NanoTech said that it will be able to close the needs of the Volga Automobile Plant by 80 percent, or 175 million microcircuits annually. Each car requires approximately 350 thousand components. In addition, the company plans to produce electronic parts for a vase, gas and KAMAZ.

General Director of GS NanOTECH Sergey Plainin said that development in the field of microelectronics is extremely relevant, since in Russia there are requirements for localization of cars allowed for public procurement, which are tightened every year. If in 2021 cars and trucks were supposed to have at least 3200 points, then this year this figure is already 4,500 points.

In November last year, the amount necessary for the development of a national automobile platform became known. It allocates almost 88 billion rubles to create architecture.
