The SKM M9 van promoted by AvtoVAZ appeared in the Perm police

The new SKM M9 combi van, produced jointly by AvtoVAZ and the Nizhny Novgorod company Promtekh, appeared in the service of the Perm police. The start of sales of the Russian-assembled model is scheduled for September this year. It follows from this that the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs received a pre-production copy of the vehicle.

After the start of mass production, the front-wheel drive SKM M9 will be offered in four versions: a 7-seater minivan, an 8-seater minivan, a 9-seater minibus and a cargo van.

Under the hood of all modifications lies a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with a power of 150 hp. Transmissions – a choice of 9-speed automatic or 6-speed manual.

The project is based on the Chinese Maxus V70 of SAIC Corporation, which is also produced under the brands IVECO, LDV and Chevrolet. The model will be produced at two sites at once – in Nizhny Novgorod and Tolyatti.
