This spring, scammers remembered an old trick – sending motorists messages about allegedly committed parking violations. However, as RIA Novosti was told by the press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front, in April drivers are most vulnerable to such mailings.
“April is the beginning of the road work season. Motorists are getting used to the appearance of new signs and time restrictions, which makes them more vulnerable to such mailings,” say experts from the Popular Front’s “Moshelovka” platform.
Car owners also continue to receive fines due to scammers who re-stick license plates. Even cameras with artificial intelligence cannot recognize a fake.
In addition, scammers began to imitate “chain letters” allegedly recorded by photo and video cameras. Counterfeits are sent on behalf of the traffic police.
