Thousands of Suzuki sold in Russia found a defect

The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) announced the recall of 3756 Suzuki cars sold in Russia from 2016 to 2022. We are talking about models of SX4 and Vitara, which have found a problem with the brake system. The inspection and repair of cars will be engaged in LLC Suzuki Motor Rus, the official representative of Suzuki in the Russian market.

When using fuel with a high content of ethyl alcohol, the vacuum pump valve may swell when using a fuel. If it partially blocks the channel of negative pressure to the brake amplifier, the brake pedal will become tight. In addition, when pressing it, extraneous sounds may occur.

On cars, a vacuum pump will be replaced for free. Employees of dealerships will notify the owners about the review by phone or by e-mail. You can also check on your own whether the car falls under the promotion by checked with the list of Vin-Nomers on the Rosstandart website.
