Japanese tuning studio Damd has presented a stylish body kit for the Suzuki Spacia Gear kei car, which turns the compact van into a stylish retro SUV. The basic set of parts, called the Noct Kit, costs just $880 (about 140,800 yen) and includes the grille, headlight covers, front bumper parts and Suzuki emblem, Carscoops reports.
The main change is a completely redesigned front end. The stock Jeep-style grille is replaced by a sleek aluminum-trimmed fascia, and the round LED headlights get bezels. The front bumper remains original, but is complemented by a horizontal insert reminiscent of the chrome bumpers of classic models. Optionally available are 15-inch Cantabile alloy wheels, which can be wrapped in all-terrain tyres, and a roof rack made from New Zealand Accoya timber.
The technical characteristics of the kei car have not changed. Under the hood remains a 660 cc three-cylinder engine producing 49 hp. in the naturally aspirated version and 64 hp. in turbocharged Drive – front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, transmission – variator.
The complete kit with wheels costs $1,500 (242,000 yen), and the roof rack costs $400 (64,900 yen). The Suzuki Spacia Gear itself in Japan costs from $12,200 to $13,900 (1.95–2.22 million yen) depending on the configuration.
Previously, Americans sued Ram because of the “extra” gears in the box.
