While Mercedes-Benz is developing its new G-Class convertible, Middle Eastern tuning house Venuum has already unveiled its own version of the open SUV. The model is called Mastodon V4 and is produced in limited edition, Carscoops reports.
The tuners replaced almost all the body panels, leaving only the door trims intact. The most noticeable changes are at the front. Instead of the usual round headlights, square blocks were installed, a new bumper, a different radiator grille and a custom hood appeared. From the side, massive wheels, carbon arch extensions and side sills are striking. Visually, the wheelbase seems shorter than the standard one, although the SUV remains a four-door.
The main thing at the back is that the roof of the car was completely cut off. Photos appear to include a black fabric section in the rear that can be pulled over the rear seats for weather protection, but no photos with the top up are included. Inside, the front and rear seats are trimmed in yellow-black leather, and between the rear seats there is a unique central tunnel trimmed from the same carbon fiber.
Venuum hasn’t revealed the number or price, but does confirm that the Mastodon V4 will be a limited edition.
