Updated Bestune B70 – is it suitable not only in a taxi?

Unlike personal cars, in a taxi we usually prefer that a large sedan, not a crossover arrive. Spacious, with a convenient planting, quiet and smooth. The last two characteristics of the Bestune B70 are not even different in comparison with crossovers, but it is still popular in the field of commercial breed. For nothing that this is also an elevator, not a classic four -door. And what if you consider such as an alternative to the crossover in private use? Instead of Kia K5, Toyota Camry or Skoda Octavia.

The Bestune B70 and before restyling looked interesting thanks to the squat silouet, the original optics design and large wheels. After updating, the elevator did not lose recognition and charisma – he simply changed the image to a more concise Haytek. Now, the appearance is dominated not by the magnificent grille of the radiator and the dramatic “tears” of the running lights, but by the diode strip in the entire width of the body, in the middle of which a new logo flaunts. This design is more likely to recall the futuristic Zeekr and Aito than about competitors from Cher and Geely.

Despite the visual resemblance to electric trains and hybrids, the Bestune liftback is equipped with only traditional power plants. This is either a boost of 1.5 liters and 160 forces in a collaboration with a 7-speed robot, or also a turbocharged 2-liter engine with a return of 217 hp. The latter is already combined with the traditional Aisin hydro -automatic machine in 6 gears. The senior engine is the same as the more expensive Hongqi H5 sedan, because both brands belong to the same FAW group.

The new Bestune logo represents the same, only with changed proportions and turned to one side. Now in this schedule a symbolic “window to the world” is better read, as the manufacturer interprets this badge

Unlike appearance, the interior of the updated model made “reverse evolution”. For example, the joystick of the selection of transmission modes was replaced with a less convenient trigger, which the people were nicknamed the electric brow. And the climate control panel was reduced in size and functionality, belonging to all the main functions (for example, temperature adjustment) by virtual buttons in the multimedia system.

At the same time, the modernization of the central console did not give any obvious benefit – just this part of the salon began to look a little different. A similar situation with a block of screens: that they were previously inscribed in a single panel, stretching in the entire width of the cabin, which now stand a little apart – readability has not improved. The displays are not enough anti -reflective coating and a visor. Or at least increased brightness and contrast.

The interface of the information and entertainment complex does not cause emotions. Everything is like the majority, as if under a carbon copy: neatly, but without delights. And on the screens a much empty place. Translation into Russian in places is ridiculous, but it is also not new. It is not difficult to find the necessary functions, but many important icons are small. It would not hurt to take some settings to the physical panel with sensory buttons under the screen – for example, the volume of the audio system. The sound of the latter was also not impressed – not a failure, but below the average.

The dashboard is also not accurately: in addition to the monstrous glare, making it almost completely unreadable in sunny weather, to perceive information prevents the location of the data on the screen. So, with my usual planting, the speedometer readings are largely overlapped by the rim of the steering wheel. By the way, about landing: it will not arrange everyone, because restyling did not bring the steering wheel adjustments.

The materials correspond to the model of the model, the design is available, the equipment is worthy, with the exception of the lack of heating of the back row, steering wheel and windshield. But in all trim levels there are Carplay and Android Auto, and the top version differs from the younger ones in the main set of safety products, the size of the wheels, the presence of wireless charging and maximum illumination as inside (contour backlight) and outside (waves of the wave in the posterior optics, the projection of the logo) .

But it is worth starting movement, as you immediately have comfort questions. Firstly, why does the version with a senior engine and automatically transmit so many vibrations when standing at a traffic light at a traffic light, as if the support of the power unit has already passed? By the way, the younger motor with a robot in this regard did not cause complaints. Then the suspension – it broadcasts the whole, not even visible to the eye, a trifle with a small tremor on the body. And the driver additionally feels the relief of the road through the vibrations of the steering column.

But everything is not so simple: firstly, 400 thousand is a lot, and secondly, a one and a half-liter version in most scenarios rides better! Surprisingly, even a robotic transmission works smoother than a conventional assault rifle on a 2-liter motor-it does not vibrate in place in D and does not push when switching to low gears.

Modifications with different engines differ among themselves by setting up the brake drive. In the city on the “Poles”, it is more pleasant to ride – it is not inferior in dynamics when driving in half a man, spends less fuel, behaves more comfortably in starting and stopping modes. The only thing when the younger motor does not have enough dynamics – with impatiently embedded in a quick stream of the highway from the accelerated strip, as well as when overtaking on the highway. Here, a 2-liter motor is very convincing with its impressive class 217 hp for this class. and 340 N ∙ m. But still this is not the car on which you want to regularly realize the power potential.

Do I want to roll on it at a moderate pace, travel long distances, use in everyday life every day, listen to music in the parking lot? Also not very-with all these gleaming screens, a multimedia, which is once again better not to contact (but invariably has to), a strange way to access the luggage compartment, a tiny clearance and the absence of some outstanding chips. In addition, perhaps, a full -fledged panoramic roof, pleasant appearance and a powerful (but rather expensive) version of the power plant.

The fifth door does not have the usual button outside – open the trunk only from the cabin or a keychain. And in version 1.5, in addition to this, for some reason there is no electric trigger cover-which further complicates access to a cargo compartment with a volume of 440 liters

It turns out that this is primarily a vehicle that can deliver from A to B. but hardly inspiring them as a personal car with an acceptable level of comfort (in the broadest sense of the word). And on this moment it is impossible not to return to the topic of a taxi. In such a role, B70 deficiencies cease to be significant. Firstly, they will have to do with them mainly to the driver for whom this is part of the work.

In addition, at city speeds, the noise of the wheels is almost no longer annoying, and Nano-Cleirens and a hard suspension on the relatively even roads of the metropolis are quite acceptable. At the same time, the strengths of the Bestune B70 are obvious.

This is a modern and spacious car, which costs significantly fewer competitors from Geely and Cher. And with a bonus, it offers a choice of two power plants and a slutty power in the eldest of them. Significant arguments, if you need a rather big necrosaver, but in a limited budget. /m
