Volkswagen has revealed the characteristics of the budget crossover ID. Cross

Volkswagen is preparing an ID model. Cross is the first attempt to offer the European public an affordable battery-powered crossover. The most affordable option, according to forecasts, will cost about 28 thousand euros – that’s 2.6 million rubles. The length of the new product will be 4153, width – 1794 mm, and height – 1581 mm. The wheelbase size is 2601 mm.

The exterior of the ID.Cross features Volkswagen’s new Pure Positive styling, which features clean lines, balanced proportions and an overall sense of quality.

The front-wheel drive crossover will be equipped with electric motors with output of 116, 135 or 211 hp. To power the engines, batteries with a capacity of 37 or 52 kWh will be offered.

Thanks to the combination of modern technologies, high build quality, large space and an attractive price, the model will be an interesting option in terms of price and quality.

The former Toyota plant is setting up production of a new model. The Russians have named tires that are not recommended for installation on a crossover. A Chinese engine will be fitted to the small Gelendvagen.

Previously, Volkswagen showed the future ninth Golf. An image of the new generation of the car, which has become a benchmark in its class, was demonstrated at a meeting of Volkswagen employees.
