The day before the opening of the IAA Mobility auto exhibition in Munich, Volkswagen declassified the novelty – the next member of the ID family. So far, this is only a concept, and they promise to present a serial version in the summer of 2026. It will be sold in parallel with the fuel [T-Cross](https://motor.ru/news/t-cross-05-07-2023.htm), with which, however, it has little in common: ID.CROSS built on the MeB+ platform-an updated version of the MeB for new electric cars.

ID.cross slightly larger than T-CROSS: it reaches 4161 millimeters in length, 1839 millimeters wide, and 1588 millimeters in a height at 2601 mm wheelbase. Basically, the trunk will fit 450 liters of cargo, and in the front, under the hood, another 25 liters.

Among the external features are the original light panel in front, as well as three illuminated rectangles in the rear window racks that refer to ID.Buzz. Also, the show-kar got impressive wheel wheels with a dimension of 21 inches in Continental tires. They probably do not migrate to the serial version.

The salon is also not devoid of references, but already to ID.2all, and its fabric upholstery in beige colors is inspired by “expensive furniture.” A new steering wheel, an 11-inch diagonal dashboard and a 13-inch screen of a multimedia system are installed in front. ID.cross has one electric motor on the front axle, developing 211 horsepower. The battery of unknown capacity provides the crossover up to 420 kilometers in the course of the WLTP cycle.
