Volvo partially declassified the new crossover EX60

On the eve of Volvo introduced the ES90 – the liftback, which the Swedes themselves call sedan. In the video shown during the premiere, part of the stern of another novelty was lit up – the EX60 crossover. It will become an electric alternative to popular fuel [XC60](https://motor.ru/news/volvo-xc60 -resh-18-02-2025.htm).

Volvo revealed a very small part of the EX60 body, painted in dusty pink. In the screenshot, vertically located “dashed” lanterns are visible. Their upper part frames the rear window, the lower partly passes to the wings. The bumper is decorated with a narrow chrome beam in almost its entire width.

The Volvo did not reveal any new details about EX60. The last time the manufacturer was mentioned by the promising crossover in the fall of last year: then it was reported that work on the replacement of the XC60 was completed.

The model will be built on the new SPA3 architecture. This is an updated version of the “carts” of SPA2, on which the EX90 crossover and the ES90 liftback are based. The platform will be made using large -format casting technology, it will receive a more powerful computing part based on the Volvo Cars Superset technological stack, and the battery integrated into the power structure. The architecture itself will also turn out to be flexible predecessor and is suitable for models of different classes – including less EX30.

EX60 can separate some components with EX90 and ES90, and Tesla Model Y will become its rival in the market. When exactly Volvo will present a new crossover, it should happen until the end of 2025.
