Volvo will revive the XC70 model, but it will not be a station wagon

The first official images of the new XC70, which will become an exclusive for the Chinese market, are published-the old alphanumeric index will wear a crossover larger and more spacious XC60. The company confirmed that the novelty will receive a hybrid power plant with the possibility of charging from a socket. Such a SUV will be able to drive in clean electricity up to 200 kilometers.

Volvo used the XC70 index for the off -road version of the V70 station wagon, until it was removed from production in 2016. Now, the Swedish automaker takes out this name from the shelf, but now it will not be assigned to the station wagon, but to the classic crossover. It will be based on the SMA modular platform: the novelty is promised a connected hybrid installation, a stroke on electricity up to 200 kilometers and fast charging.
