What the third generation Nissan Leaf turned out: new photos

Before the premiere of the electric Leaf of the next, the third generation of generation remains less than a month, and on this occasion, Nissan shared fresh pictures of the model and some details. If you believe the announcement on the Czech website of the brand, Leaf will debut on June 18, and it will no longer be hatchback, but almost a crossover-the model changed not only the form factor, but also began to look more modern on the outside.

The “third” Leaf was based on the CMF-EV platform, the same on which the ARIYA electriccross was built. The electric car added in dimensions, and the road clearance looks larger than that of the current hatchback, therefore it is novelty and is called a crossover with a composite body.

The model has an impressive aerodynamic resistance coefficient – it is 0.26 in the version for the Japanese and American markets and 0.25 in European specifications. For comparison: in the current Leaf it is 0.28. Such a result was achieved due to new buildings of external mirrors and the design of the wheeled discs.

The salon will be modernized due to the new screens of the multimedia system and the instrument panel, but there are no interior photos yet. Another feature of the model is an electric chromium panoramic roof, which is darkened entirely or in separate sections.

The new Nissan Leaf will be released at the British factory in Sanderland. Nissan provides statistics according to which, from the moment the model launch 15 years ago, more than 700 thousand electric carcasses of the first and second generations were sold around the world.
