The third car of the Chinese IT giant, as is already known, will be a crossover that is not like the first two. This will be a large SUV with an angular appearance, designed for family trips and equipped with an EREV installation with an increased march margin. Now Xiaomi is busy testing the model, pictures from which Car News China publishes.

According to the publication, the code name of the new Xiaomi – Kunlun crossover, which refers to one of the largest mountain systems in Asia. Whether the serial SUV will receive the same name is unknown, but so far both Xiaomi cars are indicated by indices: the sedan has been called SU7, but for now the first crossover is not released – yu7.

However, Kunlun will differ significantly from them both by the design of the exterior and the power plant. The first Xiaomi is clean electric cars, and the crossover in the pictures will be equipped with a hybrid installation of an EREV type with an internal combustion engine in the role of an extension cord.

There are no details about it yet, but it is known that the alternate will get the “smart” brake system Bosch IPB 2.0 (Intelligent Power Brake System). Such information was found in the Bosch technological roadmap accidentally published last year.

The premiere of the third car Xiaomi is expected in 2026. In the meantime, the company is trying to satisfy the demand for the SU7 sedan and its top version of Ultra, the annual circulation of which was sold in just two hours. The cost of an extreme electric car with a 1548-horsepower three-engine installation at the start amounted to 529,900 yuan (6.2 million rubles).
