Xpeng has launched mass production of the GX, the world’s first mass-produced SUV with Bosch’s L4 steering system, costing less than 500,000 yuan (approximately 6 million rubles). The model is designed for six seats and combines more than 100 functions. CarNewsChina reports this.
The GX features intelligent 800-volt all-wheel drive: two mixed silicon carbide coaxial drive electric motors produce 430 kW, 695 Nm and 585 hp. The system allows all-wheel steering, improving the maneuverability of a large SUV. The platform supports 5C ultra-fast charging. Other characteristics – battery capacity, power reserve, acceleration dynamics – have not yet been disclosed.
The six-seater Xpeng GX SUV has impressive dimensions: 5265 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, 1800 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3115 mm. This puts the model on a par with the largest SUVs in China. The salon is designed according to the 2+2+2 scheme. The standard equipment includes 22-inch multi-spoke wheels; 21-inch sports or low-profile tires are also available for customers. The 800V architecture is future-proof and compatible with future-proof L4 sensors and the Xpeng ADAS computing system.
