Toyota C+pod appeared in December 2020 in Japan. This is an ultra-compact two-seater electric car with a length of only 2490 mm, designed for short city trips.

It is aimed primarily at older drivers, delivery service employees and corporate clients, including municipal organizations.

The motor develops only 9.2 kW (12.3 hp) and 56 Nm of torque, and the top speed is limited to 60 km/h. The range on one charge is about 150 km.

Despite leaving the Russian market, Toyota continues to protect its assets in the country. At the beginning of the year, the company registered the trademarks Wigo, Avensis, Crown Signia, Verso and Lexus in the Russian Federation.

Now the Japanese automaker is represented in Russia through the Toyota Motor company. Financial indicators fell noticeably: if in 2021 revenue reached 332 billion rubles, then at the end of 2024 it decreased to 7.2 billion rubles. The company’s profit last year amounted to 2.5 billion rubles.
