A drunk Florida woman driving a Toyota Supra (powered by a BMW) decided to disobey the local 80 km/h speed limit by going more than 110 km/h over the speed limit and told police she thought the driving was normal because it was a Supra. Carscoops reports this.
Body camera video from a Bonita Springs police officer showed 25-year-old Syria Lopez driving a Toyota GR Supra speeding (201 km/h when the speed limit was 80 km/h), explaining to the officer that she was trying to pass her friend’s car and adding, “It’s a Supra and I thought it was okay to go fast.”
According to WTHR, the driver was not only driving almost 150% faster than the legal limit, but also failed a breathalyzer test: her blood alcohol level was 0.23 ppm—almost three times the legal limit (0.08).
WTHR reports: Lopez was charged with drunk driving and speeding. However, on the same day she left prison, having paid a bail of 3.5 thousand dollars (approximately 264 thousand rubles). Aggressive driving and illegal modification of the exhaust system were also added to the main charges.
