At the Beijing Auto Show, which opens on April 24, 2026, GAC Hyptec will begin accepting “blind orders” (without announcing the exact price) for its new S600 mid-size SUV, positioned as a “new luxury smart sports car.”
The model, 5015 mm long, 1933 mm wide, 1700 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2936 mm, received a five-seater interior, a curved roofline, an active radiator grille and 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The main body color is red. The design is inspired by “Mountains and Sea”: the front split headlights imitate mountain peaks, and the lights contain 836 LEDs and support custom lighting scenes, including wave animation.
A lidar is installed on the roof. A key feature of the S600 is its choice of two powertrain versions. The electric vehicle (BEV) will have one 250 kW motor and a choice of two batteries: lithium iron phosphate (83.326 kWh, range 660 km) or triple lithium (99.456 kWh, range 800 km).
The version with a hybrid powertrain is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (118 kW) and a 36.028 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a purely electric range of 170-180 kilometers. The car is designed to compete with Li Auto, Nio and Zeekr models in the premium segment of electric and hybrid cars.
