Having successfully launched, the joint venture between Huawei and JAC Maextro released an exclusive version of the flagship – S800 Grand Design. The car received a unique design and advanced technology, bringing it closer to the Rolls-Royce, but at half the price. Carscoops reports this.
The main visual details of the car are gold accents: the emblem on the hood, rims, decorative stripes, Maextro lettering and rear logo. The body received a new two-tone color: rich blue-green combined with light silver.
The interior of the Maextro S800 Grand Design has not yet been officially revealed, but it is likely that the interior will also be replete with gold details. The length of the sedan is 5480 mm, the wheelbase is an impressive 3370 mm. The four-seat layout is focused on the comfort of rear passengers. Already standard, the S800 is equipped with a triple screen, zero-gravity rear seats, a retractable laser projection screen and a 43-speaker Huawei audio system.
The Grand Design package not only includes exterior improvements, but also a roof-mounted 896-line lidar system and a new B-pillar camera. This equipment indicates the use of the latest Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0 suite of driver assistants – a step up from the ADS 4.1 version on current models.
Buyers will be offered a choice of two options: a pure electric vehicle (BEV) and a plug-in hybrid operating under the EREV scheme. The BEV version develops 523 hp. Thanks to two electric motors and all-wheel drive, it is powered by a 97 kWh battery. The EREV uses a 1.5-liter turbo engine-generator paired with three electric motors and a smaller battery (63 kWh).
