The concept of a new electric car was presented two years ago, and the appearance of the production car is practically no different from it. Epiq is built on the new front-wheel drive MEB+ platform – a lightweight version of the Volkswagen truck, without all-wheel drive and unnecessary complications. The design is a fresh Modern Solid language, with T-shaped headlights and a massive grille with vertical slats in the front bumper.

The car is slightly larger than the petrol Kamiq. The Epiq is 4171 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2601 mm. The interior, compared to the gasoline model, is more spacious. The interior trim uses recycled materials and does not use animal skin in any way.

The instrument cluster uses a 5-inch screen, the diagonal of the main screen of the media system is 13 inches. The total volume of all kinds of niches and pockets distributed throughout the cabin reaches 26 liters.

Skoda says the electric crossover will cost the same as the petrol Kamiq in many markets as standard. The price of this “people’s car” in Germany is from 32.8 thousand euros.

The power plant of the First Edition version is one electric motor with 210 hp, acceleration to hundreds takes 7.1 seconds, power reserve is about 440 km. In addition, the acceleration and deceleration of the Epiq can be fully controlled with one pedal, for this purpose there is a B mode with adjustable recuperation. The car has seven airbags, including a central one, which is installed between the front seats.

Earlier it became known that a new generation of the Chery Arrizo 8 sedan will appear in Russia.
