The buyer of a Chinese crossover won more than 6 million rubles from an official dealer following a lawsuit in a district court. The reason for the trial is a body with red spots, a knocking steering rack and a faulty gearbox.
The car was purchased on credit in 2023 and during operation various faults began to appear in it. The dealer fixed them, but it was not possible to completely restore the car.
“Currently, the vehicle has a knocking sound from the steering rack and gearbox, red spots and peeling paintwork have appeared on the body. I asked the court to satisfy the stated demands in full,” the court said in a statement.
During the consideration of the case, the court ordered an auto technical examination. Having studied its results and other circumstances of the case, he came to the conclusion that the defects that arose in the car were of a manufacturing nature and were significant. The seller was unable to eliminate them within a reasonable time.
As a result, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Orenburg sided with the buyer. He collected more than 6 million rubles from the dealer when the price of the car itself was 2.16 million rubles. The total amount takes into account the cost of the car, fines and penalties, price differences, and interest on the loan. The district court’s decision has not entered into force and can be appealed.
Earlier it became known that it is planned to introduce a new generation of the Chery Arrizo 8 sedan to the Russian market.
