In Moscow, a roofer climbed the spire of the famous Stalinist high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. A video of the extreme stunt appeared online and attracted the attention of not only users, but also the police. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow.
The footage shows a young man who climbed to the very top of a 176-meter building without insurance. The height, together with the spire and the star, is impressive – it is one of the most recognizable silhouettes of the capital. However, judging by the video, the extreme sportsman was clearly not looking for the easy way out: climbing to such a height requires not only courage, but also serious physical preparation.
Now police officers are studying the recording to establish the identity of the roofer, the time and circumstances of the incident. The press service of the department confirmed that an investigation into this fact is being carried out.
It is not yet known whether the thrill-seeker faces administrative or criminal liability, but recently such tricks are increasingly ending for roofers not only with hype on social networks, but also with real problems with the law. In any case, this high-rise run will definitely add color to your city news feed.
Prior to this, a couple of Russian roofers – Ivan Birkus (Kuznetsov) and Angelina Nikolaou – received eight charges for conquering the Empire State Building. Extreme sports fans well known on social networks climbed onto the spire of a skyscraper, where Birkus proposed to his chosen one. At the top they mounted a banner with the inscription: “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” The incident was caught on video. After descending to the ground, both were detained by Manhattan police.
