In April 2026, 6,026 plug-in hybrids of parallel and serial types were sold on the Russian market, notes the head of the Autostat agency, Sergei Tselikov. The result of the second month of spring was 2.4 times higher than a year earlier (+142%).

Over the full four months of the year, 19,592 (+131%) plug-in hybrid vehicles were registered with the traffic police, and the market share of gas-electric vehicles, which are also called “green” vehicles, exceeded 5%.

Analyst Tselikov points out the Chinese brand Voyah as the segment leader: 1,741 Russian-assembled cars were sold in April, and 4,779 units were sold in 4 months. The top 5 brands include Evolute, Geely, GAC and Lixiang.

The most popular hybrid model is the Voyah Free crossover. In April, 1,362 units were sold, and since the beginning of the year – 3,828 units. The top three is completed by Evolute I-Space (991 and 2968 units) and Geely EX5 EM-I (665 and 1967 units).

Earlier, Motor magazine named 10 cars that can be brought to Russia for 2.5 million rubles. With such a budget, there remains a wide selection of cars available for ordering abroad and falling under a preferential recycling fee rate.

This budget includes, in particular, the new Nissan Qashqai from the Chinese market, the compact crossover Kia KX1 and Seltos, sequential hybrids Changan Qiyuan and a number of used models from the Volkswagen concern.
