Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen, Skoda models, even with high mileage, remain more reliable than many Chinese cars, says Andrey Grishakov, director of the used cars department of Avtodom and AutoSpetsCenter Group of Companies. He told Gazeta.Ru about this.
“First of all, the Toyota RAV4 shows high reliability. Even with a mileage of 150-200 thousand kilometers, this crossover maintains the performance of the engine, transmission and electronics,” said Grishakov.
In addition to the RAV4, Grishakov highlighted the Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio after restyling 2017-2020. With equal mileage, these models have accessible spare parts and inexpensive repairs, which makes them more profitable than many fresh Chinese cars. In third place is the Volkswagen Polo with a naturally aspirated 1.6 engine. Its galvanized body and manual transmission can withstand 200 thousand kilometers without problems.
In fourth place is the Skoda Octavia A7 – even after 200 thousand kilometers it does not require serious expenses. The Toyota Camry XV70 closes the top five: its naturally aspirated engine and automatic transmission remain operational without major repairs even after 300 thousand kilometers.
