The second place in popularity may be taken by the K40 SUV, and the C50 sedan will presumably close the sales ranking. The founder of the external press service for the auto business “Mechanika”, Alexander Kovalev, told the analytical agency “Autostat” about this.
According to the expert, the K50 crossover is based on the Geely Monjaro – a successful model in terms of design, technical content and equipment, which has also proven itself well in Russia.
Marketing Director of Avilon AG Yuriy Blinov predicts that the Volga K50 will be in greatest demand: this model may account for 45 to 50% of all brand sales. The share of Volga K40, according to his estimates, will be approximately 30-35%, and Volga C50 – about 15-20%.
Yuri Blinov explained that the Russian market is now maximally focused on SUVs. In addition, it was Monjaro, which the K50 focuses on, that was the most popular Geely in Russia, accounting for more than 35% of the brand’s sales. At the same time, sedans, according to him, are noticeably inferior in demand: the best foreign sedan of 2025 was the Chery Arrizo 8. However, the C50 has a chance to surpass a typical sedan in retail if the model successfully enters the corporate channel from the very beginning – where a gasoline sedan is still convenient and in demand. However, even in this case, the K50 will still remain the driver of the brand.
