“Autostat” listed 18 competitors of Volga cars in the Russian market

As the Autostat agency found out, the new Volga sedans and crossovers will face a difficult fight with Chinese brands, as well as with some Toyota models.

The founder of the external press service “Mechanika” Alexander Kovalev, marketing director of AG “Avilon” Yuri Blinov and editor-in-chief of radio “Avtodor” Igor Morzharetto shared their opinions with Avtostat.

The main competitors of the Volga C50 business sedan are Chery Arrizo 8, Moskvich 6, FAW Bestune B70, Dongfeng Aeolus Shine Max, as well as the parallel imported Toyota Camry and all sedans that are bought as a status but rational business class car.

For the Volga K40 crossover, the range of rivals includes Geely Atlas, Haval F7, Chery Tiggo 7L and some more equipped mid-size crossovers.

The larger Volga K50 SUV, which will fall into the segment of 4 million rubles and above, will have to compete with Geely Monjaro, GAC GS8, Chery Tiggo 9, Tenet T8, Jaecoo J8, Exeed RX, Changan UNI-K and KGM Torres.

It was previously reported that Toyota sales have increased sharply in Russia.
