“Not long ago we conducted a survey at what mileage car owners want to part with their car. Now the survey is on the other side – with what mileage do they want to buy? Naturally, these ranges do not converge. Most of all there are those who want to buy a used car with mileage in the range from 30 to 60 thousand km (39%). Exactly a quarter of respondents (25%) indicated ranges of up to 30 thousand and from 60 to 100 thousand km,” the expert noted.
Thus, 89% of buyers are looking for cars with mileage up to 100 thousand kilometers. Moreover, only a quarter of owners are ready to part with the car at this stage. The ideal compromise, where the interests of both parties meet, is a mileage of 50-60 thousand kilometers. Of course, you can sell a car with high mileage, but then you will have to be more accommodating in price.
