Auto expert Tselikov: Toyota sales in Russia have almost doubled

In January-April 2026, 9,708 new Toyota cars were registered in Russia. This is 97% more than in the same period last year (4929 units). The brand ranks seventh in the sales ranking, with a market share of more than 2.5%. In other words, every 40th new car buyer chooses Toyota. The head of the analytical agency Autostat, Sergei Tselikov, reported this on his Telegram channel.

“The most popular Toyota model remains the RAV4 crossover. It accounted for a little more than a third (34.2%) of demand – 3,324 units. The top three also include Highlander (3,176 units) and Camry (1,788 units),” the expert notes.

It is noteworthy that almost 90% of Toyota cars that came to Russia (8549 units) were produced in China. Of course, all supplies are carried out under alternative import schemes, including through Kyrgyzstan.
