Auto expert Zinoviev criticized the Chevrolet Cobalt for its weak automatic transmission and imperfect suspension

So, according to the specialist, the B15D2 engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 102 hp, despite its overall reliability, requires attention. There are no hydraulic compensators here, so from time to time you have to adjust the valve clearances. In addition, seal leaks occur occasionally.

The main weakness is the 6T30 automatic transmission. Expert Sergei Zinoviev notes that this machine has “a couple of weaknesses,” and major repairs are often required by 150 thousand kilometers.

The car’s suspension cannot be called super-strong on frankly rough roads. Although the chassis elements can travel more than 100 thousand kilometers on smooth or moderately bad surfaces, the Cobalt tolerates serious potholes and potholes worse.
