Zeekr 8X will be popular among Russians, experts from the publication believe based on the results of a test drive of the car on the roads of China. The car was praised for its dynamics, handling, high-quality interior, as well as a rich set of options.
The new product has more compact dimensions than the older Zeekr 9X: its length is 5100 mm, width is 1998 mm, height is 1780 mm, and the wheelbase size is 3069 mm. For comparison, the overall length and center distance of the 9X are 5239 mm and 3169 mm, respectively.
The rechargeable hybrid installation includes a 2.0 turbo engine (279 hp). In the twin-engine version, the system develops a total of 897 hp, allowing it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Maximum speed is 220 km/h. This is the option that Autoreview tested.
In the list of shortcomings of the model, experts included a glare interior mirror, as well as a low rear camera lens. Another minus is that the steering wheel blocks the upper part of the instrument display.
During the test, the comfortable suspension missed several hard impacts on large potholes, so the first Russian buyers of the 8X will have to evaluate the composure of the chassis on our roads for themselves.
As Motor magazine previously found out, Russian suppliers have opened orders for such cars in all versions – Max, Ultra and Ultra+. Export options can be brought to our country; they do not require 180 days of downtime in China after purchase.
In the basic modification, taking into account the payment of salvage duty, customs clearance and logistics costs, the most affordable Zeekr 8X Max for a buyer from Moscow will cost about 10.2 million rubles.
