AvtoVAZ explained why it stimulates Vesta sales with a variator

In an interview with the Drom.ru portal, Vice President for Sales and Marketing Dmitry Kostromin revealed the logic of the auto giant. The top manager said that Lada Vesta NG support with the variator is the desire of AvtoVAZ to adapt to the market. “We are telling the client – here is the machine gun at the price of“ mechanics ”and compare.” There is no need to maintain the demand for the version with a manual gearbox.

Dmitry Kostromin denied stereotypes that Wly Vest Vesta often breaks: the top manager noted that “our engineering, together with the Chinese side, developed additional measures that raised reliability.” Drom.ru assumptions that AvtoVAZ is forced to redeem a certain volume of variators under an agreement with a Chinese partner at the factory did not confirm.

At the moment, the base Lada Vesta NG with a variator is sold at a direct discount of 300 thousand rubles, that is, according to Lada Finance/Lada Finance Plus programs, the price can be reduced to 1,275,000 rubles. For comparison, the sedan with the “mechanics” in the initial configuration costs from 1,525,000 rubles without taking into account shares and special offers. Rich Vesta configurations are not produced for more than two months.

At the end of January, AvtoVAZ announced the launch of Lada Vesta production with a 6-speed “mechanics”. There are no such cars on the official website of Lada.ru. However, Dmitry Kostromin said that the shipment of cars with a new gearbox has begun, and the changes to the certificate of approval of the type of vehicle have already been made.
