By the beginning of the serial output of the new Lada ISKRA in Togliatti, the welding workshop with 112 robots was opened – up up to 30 bodies per hour can be assembled there. In total, more than 1300 robots are working on AvtoVAZ sites.
Especially to the launch of industrial production of Lada ISKRA at the AvtoVAZ plant in Togliatti, a completely new welding shop was equipped. Its area was more than 40 thousand square meters. Up to 30 bodies can be made here, using 17 automatic lines and 112 robots for this. The latest equipment is used not only for welding, but also to be sealing and transferring parts.

In total, over 1300 robots are involved in AvtoVAZ – the largest number of all Russian car factories. Robots allow to ensure a high level of quality and performance in welding and coloring workshops, in the press production, on the assembly lines of engines and on the main conveyor. So, the level of robotization on the welding line of the Grants body exceeds 85%.
In addition, AvtoVAZ uses automatic floor transport at its plants, and in the scientific and technical center robotics are used in cyclic tests of components and car assemblies for reliability and durability.
