At the COMvex exhibition in Moscow, AvtoVAZ showed a new commercial model under the SKM brand – M9. The development was carried out by the Promtech company (a certified partner of the auto giant), which produces prototypes and mass-produces light commercial vehicles and special vehicles based on vans.

The front-wheel drive SKM M9 will be offered in four versions: a 7-seater minivan, an 8-seater minivan, a 9-seater minibus and a cargo van. Under the hood of all modifications is a 2.0-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 hp. Transmissions – a choice of 9-speed automatic or 6-speed manual.

The “Business” version of the minivan is designed for six passengers and a driver: five seats in the back and one next to the driver. The salon has a movable table and transformable chairs. The Transfer version seats seven passengers and also has a larger luggage compartment.

The minibus in the “Comfort” version is distinguished by an extended roof. Nine people can be seated inside (there are seven seats in the passenger compartment and one next to the driver). The SKM M9 van offers a useful volume of 9.6 cubic meters. The model will be produced at two sites at once – in Nizhny Novgorod and Tolyatti.

Earlier, the Gazelle debuted with a robotic gearbox.
