For the first month of this year, the Russians bought 20,802 new LADA cars, and this is almost the same as in January 2024 (20,835 pieces). AvtoVAZ notes the increase in demand for Vesta, which has dispersed in the amount of more than six thousand pieces – almost 30 percent more than last year’s result. By 43.7 percent, the number of sold commercial cars LADA (LCV class) also increased, the result of this segment is 583 pieces.

From the report of AvtoVAZ, it follows that in January 8336 copies of Lada Granta, 6194 Vesta, 2497 Niva Travel SUVs and 1875 classic Niva Legend, as well as 1307 universals and van Largus were sold.

Earlier it was reported that for the entire 2024, AvtoVAZ sold 525,525 cars, exceeding the plan approved by the Board of Directors. This is 30 percent more than the result of the 2023rd. On average per month, the brand sold 40 thousand cars each. Export volumes also increased – more than 21 thousand LADA cars were sent abroad to 20 countries, including the UAE, Iran, Cuba, Lebanon, Vietnam, Yemen and Serbia.

At the end of January, the Volga plant was visited by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and he was shown by the upcoming promising Lada projects. For three years, three completely new models in the segments should enter the market in which the domestic brand has not yet been represented: it will be two crossovers and minivan. It is assumed that they will become serial until 2027.

The first crossover will enter the market based on Vesta, which so far appears in plans called B-Cross. It will be a car on the border of segments b+ and C, that is, approximately like Haval Jolion. A full-fledged Lada B-Cross prototype should be shown in June of this year at the PMEF-2025.

The second novelty showed Putin was a completely new Niva (Niva III or T-134). So far, this is only a concept built on the platform of the same Vesta. Well, the third promising project is the LADA B-Van minivan, which so far exists in the form of a layout of the transaction with an unfinished design. Its launch is also expected by 2027.
