BAIC has certified ArcFox vehicles for Russia

The vehicle type approval (VTA) was issued by a Belarusian authority, but the certification documents of the neighboring country have such a feature that they allow the models to be sold in other EAEU countries, including Russia.

According to the source, the applicant was a representative of the Foton brand, the company Stellar Motor Rus, and it is planned to bring the ArcFox αS liftback and the ArcFox αT crossover.

In size, the flagship Arcfox αS resembles the Hyundai Sonata, reaching a length of 4930 mm. In the single-drive version, the electric motor develops 218 hp. and 360 Nm, rotates the front wheels.

On one charge of a lithium-ion traction battery with a capacity of 93.6 kWh, the five-door should travel 708 km, but this figure was obtained using a not very realistic CLTC cycle.

As for the ArcFox αT crossover, its length is 4788 mm, and the power of the power plant depends on the type of drive, ranging from 218 to 435 hp. The power reserve is 480−688 km.
