BMW explained the M2 transition to a 2.0-liter engine

However, the Bavarians protect this approach: for an entry -level racing car oriented towards beginners, B48 performance is “quite enough”.

The current G87 generation will preserve the six -cylinder turbo engine after restyling, but the “mechanics” will remain in the past, and the only variant of the transmission will be XDRive.
