BMW has shown the first official image of the new generation X5 crossover. As it turned out, when designing the exterior, the designers used the Neue Klasse style – it is based on the BMW i3 electric sedan, as well as the BMW iX3 battery-powered SUV.
The key feature of the new product is completely new lighting technology, which is represented by four letters “X”. On the Internet, such headlights were instantly called “the eyes of a dead man”: in comics, similar “crosses” are often drawn for dead people instead of eyes.
The horizontal slats of the radiator grille, as well as the signature “nostrils,” are also illuminated. They, surprisingly, have quite modest sizes, although previously Bavarian stylists preferred to increase the format of decorative windows.
According to insiders, the new generation of the bestseller will combine gasoline, diesel, plug-in hybrid, electric and hydrogen modifications. They will all try on a common design image, but will differ in the nuances of the design.
