By the end of the year, four models of the new Tenet brand will appear in Russia

The General Director of Agr Holding Alexei Kalitsev told Kommersant details about the launch of the Russian brand Tenet, models and outlined the timing of production. Already in the middle of summer at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga, a large assembly of product machines will begin, then the enterprise will go to the production of a full cycle (CKD). In total, in 2025 it is planned to run four models in stages.

According to Kalitsev, a technological partner of the AGR, the current owner of the former Kaluga Volkswagen factory, is the Chinese state -owned company Defetoo with an authorized capital of more than 1 billion yuan. “Defetoo has a powerful business exosative system: a total of ten units responsible for research and development, production, marketing research and analytical support for business,” he added.

The agreement that the AGR signed with Defetoo in February this year implies technological partnership – the production of cars on the modular platform, “which will be integrated with a deeply localized component base.” In addition, the agreements provide for the creation of the Unified Center for R&D (research and development and development) and the development of the cluster of local suppliers.

The general director of the AGR specified that we are talking about long -term cooperation – the investment plan is designed for 20 years.

Until the end of 2025, four models will stand on the conveyor of the former Volkswagen site, this will happen in stages. According to unofficial data, the 32T crossover is the first to go on sale, which is also the Chinese Chery Tiggo 7l with another nameplate. According to insiders, it will be followed by 3XT based on Tiggo 4, and the third model will be 31T – perhaps the Tiggo 8 Pro Max is hidden under this index. Nothing is known about the fourth model. AGR itself does not disclose information about the model range of the brand, but promises to do it in the foreseeable future.

Recall that the capacities of the Volkswagen ex-Wolkswagen, restarted in 2024, are designed to produce 225 thousand cars a year.
