Ahead of the official launch on May 21, dealerships in China have started receiving the new BYD Atto 3 (Yuan Plus in China). The rear-wheel drive version with a power of 240 kW is equipped with a fast charging function. The model, first shown at the Beijing Auto Show, is now available for pre-sale demonstration in a number of showrooms. CarNewsChina reports this.

The new Atto 3 received second generation BYD Blade batteries and fast charging technology – key hardware innovations compared to its predecessor. Depending on the configuration, the CLTC range reaches 630 km. Preliminary data shows energy consumption at 11.8−12.1 kWh per 100 km.

Buyers will be offered two rear-wheel drive versions with a power of 200 kW and 240 kW. BYD will also include the Yun-N C adaptive damping system in the chassis modernization package. The dimensions of the new product have increased: length – 4665 mm, width – 1895 mm, height – 1675 mm, wheelbase – 2770 mm. The increased wheelbase is designed to make the rear row more spacious, while maintaining the compact proportions of the SUV.

The exterior design has been refined with six color options available, including two-tone and semi-recessed door handles and redesigned taillights, united by a pass-through LED strip. The color of the decorative trims on the rear pillars can also be changed depending on the version of the car.
