During the tests, which were carried out in northern China in extreme cold, the performance of the safety and climate control systems, charging efficiency and power reserve of the electrified crossover were assessed. Key components of the car – the braking system and the stability system – were also tested.
Hybrid Tiggo 9 confirmed for the Russian market. This is the most economical version of the flagship crossover – the declared power reserve is 1,400 kilometers, and on pure electricity it can travel 165 kilometers. The power plant includes a two-liter Kunpeng Power TGDI engine with 254 horsepower, an electric motor, a three-speed DHT transmission and Super Hybrid Drive all-wheel drive.

During testing, the hybrid drove 1,000 kilometers. During the tests, we checked how the vehicle’s stability control system works, using a set of sensors and algorithms to monitor the vehicle’s condition in real time. On snow and ice-covered roads, it regulates engine power and braking forces to prevent skidding. It also turned out that at a temperature of -20 degrees Celsius, heating the driver and front passenger area of the Tiggo 9 to a comfortable +25 degrees takes 10 minutes, both in the upper part of the cabin and at floor level.

It is worth noting that in Russia the name Tiggo 9 was given to the Chinese Tiggo 8L, but the original Tiggo 9 in the homeland of the brand is a different model. However, it should also reach Russia, but under a different brand and name – Jaecoo J9.
Now in Russia the petrol Tiggo 9 is sold, equipped with a two-liter petrol engine producing 245 horsepower coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It has full drive. As of the end of January, the model costs 4,750,000–5,050,000 depending on the configuration (there are two to choose from, Prime and Ultra).
