In 2024, Fiat sold more than 1.2 million cars. This is 11 percent less than in 2023, but the brand still managed to maintain leadership in the Stellantis annual standings for the fourth time in a row. Fiat is in good demand in Brazil, Italy, Turkey and Algeria, but pan-European and American sales leave much to be desired. The public is not too interested in new electric cars.

In Brazil, Fiat sold 521 thousand cars – 9.3 percent more than a year earlier – and took a fifth of the local market. The Latin American country accounted for 43 percent of all Fiat sales. The fuel-burning Strada pickup truck is the leader in demand, retaining the title of the most popular car in Brazil.

190 thousand Fiats were sold in the home market, and the market share was about 11 percent. The championship is held by Fiat Panda with 102 thousand units sold. The electric 500e, by comparison, was bought by only two thousand people.

In Turkey, Fiat increased its market share to a record 11.2 percent, and the most popular model was the Fiat Egea/Tipo with 84 thousand registrations. In Algeria, the brand occupies as much as 62 percent share, and it has dropped significantly since last year – by more than 16 percent. In the African country, the majority choose Fiat Doblo.

In total, about 304 thousand Fiat cars were sold in Europe in 2024 – 20 percent less than a year earlier. Americans limited themselves to 1,528 units, but this is 154 percent more than in 2023.

Due to weak demand for the 500e, Fiat had to stop production several times. The last pause ended quite recently and lasted from December 2 to January 5.
