The financial marketplace Compare conducted a study and found out how much Russian owners lose when selling used Geely cars, Gazeta.Ru reports. The analysis was based on data on cars manufactured in 2023–2024 with a mileage of about 50–60 thousand kilometers.

The most significant price drop was recorded for the Geely Monjaro crossover – over three years it has become cheaper by about 1.6 million rubles. Geely Okavango loses about 1.27 million rubles in value (secondary price – 2.59-2.68 million). The price of the Geely Tugella (also known as Knewstar 001) is reduced by approximately 1.2 million rubles. The second generation Geely Atlas is cheaper by about 1 million rubles, and the Geely Preface sedan is about 966 thousand rubles.

Some models hold their price better. Geely Coolray (aka Belgee X50+) loses about 500 thousand rubles in three years. And the Geely Cityray turned out to be the most stable – its loss is approximately 300 thousand rubles.

Experts note that the residual value is most strongly influenced by mileage, technical condition, number of owners and liquidity of the model. In addition, Chinese brands very quickly update their model ranges, which is why cars quickly lose relevance in the secondary market.

Earlier in Russia, tests of the UAZ Patriot with a new engine and gearbox began.
