Governor Shapsha: Kaluga Automobile Plant will begin producing the Tenet 9 crossover in 2026

Production of the Tenet T9 crossover is scheduled at the AGR Holding automobile plant. Now the company produces crossovers Tenet T4, Tenet T7 and Tenet T8, reports TASS.

“We are preparing to launch Tenet 9 into production. The conveyor is being prepared for this. There are such plans,” said the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha.

Earlier, Shapsha noted that Tenet cars are among the most purchased in Russia. In total, in 2025, more than 140 thousand cars of different brands were assembled in the Kaluga region.

The Russian brand Tenet was founded in February 2025 by AGR Holding together with the Chinese company Defetoo. The holding’s assets, in addition to the Kaluga site, include two factories in St. Petersburg (Kamenka and Shushary) and a spare parts warehouse in Chekhov.
