The Chinese SUV Tank 700 now has power almost equal to the Lamborghini Temerario, but its acceleration characteristics are much more modest. Carscoops reports this.

GWM has been selling the Tank 700 in China for several years, but recently introduced an updated 2026 version. The model was shown ahead of the Beijing Auto Show, which starts this weekend. The updated SUV received a more aggressive design and a boosted power unit. In terms of power, it almost catches up with the Lamborghini Temerario, but accelerates much slower.

The flagship modification is called Hi4-Z. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine producing 248 hp. Two electric motors have been added to it: one is built into the transmission (288 hp), the second is installed at the rear and produces 322 hp.

In total, the Tank 700 now produces 864 hp. The car is a plug-in hybrid and is equipped with an impressive battery with a capacity of about 56 kWh, which provides an electric range of up to 190 km.
