As the Auto Mail project learned, the representative office of the Chinese concern Great Wall Motor Rus decided not to introduce the off-road modification Dargo X to the Russian market after updating the model.
“It was decided that the off-road potential that was previously available with the Dargo X can now be obtained by our customers in our other model – the Haval H7, for which rear cross-axle locking is available,” a company representative explained to the Auto Mail correspondent.
Let us remind you that in mid-spring 2026, sales of the updated regular Haval Dargo (assembled in the Tula region) started in Russia. It received a black radiator grille, new LED optics, 19-inch wheels, a 2.0 engine with 200 hp. and multimedia Coffee OS.
A special version of the Dargo X featured a forced locking rear differential, an expert off-road mode, a plastic body kit and unpainted mirrors. These cars were supplied from China and at the time they left the market they cost from 3.4 to 36 million rubles. Now their place in the lineup will be taken by the Haval H7.
